# Agent setup guide

## What exists today

Documentation, source diagrams, and an educational offline Node demo. A production SDK, live API/MCP service, DMT/Bitcoin verifier, payment service and deployed agent identity are NOT released. Do not infer an executable endpoint from a schema or install a package merely because its name resembles Proof21.

## Read first

Read https://proof21.xyz/llms.txt, https://proof21.xyz/agents/permissions.md and the status page at https://proof21.xyz/docs/start/status/. Explain implemented versus planned capabilities. Reading a guide is not permission to execute code or spend funds. Diagrams, animation and page layout are not required to consume any of these text resources.

## Optional offline test

Only after explicit operator approval, inspect https://proof21.xyz/demo/proof21-demo.mjs and the source/checksum links at https://proof21.xyz/demo/. In an isolated folder, with Node.js 22 or newer, run `node proof21-demo.mjs --json`. No package install, network or wallet is required. All fixtures are synthetic. A matching example is not a real payment confirmation or financial authorization. Acceptance remains REVIEW.

## Report precisely

Separate signature integrity, policy evaluation and the consuming party’s acceptance. Preserve machine identifiers, amounts, hashes, status values and network IDs. Refer to https://proof21.xyz/openapi.draft.json as a DESIGN, not a callable service.

## Languages and freshness

Complete English, Simplified Chinese, Thai and Modern Standard Arabic pages are available. Language switching preserves the equivalent page; there are no forced regional redirects. Translation does not change the protocol or grant regional product access. Content hashes are same-origin integrity information, not independent publisher authentication.
